WORK EXPERIENCE

1952-1958 - Ford Motor Company  --  Aircraft Engine Division, Chicago -- Manufacturing Test Engineer in Mechanical Testing Laboratory - Member of Material Review Board. Mechanical testing of materials and components used in the manufacture of reciprocating and jet engines.

1958-1974 - Magnaflux Corporation  --  Materials Testing Laboratories, Los Angeles  --  1958-Project Engineer; 1962-Department Supervisor; 1967-Laboratory Manager. Responsible for operation of Chemical, Mechanical, Metallurgical Laboratories, and Accident Reconstruction Group. Handled Failure Analysis requiring Mechanical Engineering expertise.
1974-1975 - G. Thomas Cornwell & Associates -- Vice-President and General Manager of a small corporation specializing in Aircraft Accident Reconstruction. Handled assignments requiring Mechanical and Materials Engineering expertise.
1975 to Present - ROGER CLARK ASSOCIATES – Founder & Owner of a Consulting Engineering firm specializing in Accident Analysis and Reconstruction. Through 1997, investigated over 3,500 accidents, and appeared as an Expert Witness in over 100 Trials and more than 200 Arbitrations.

UNIVERSITY EDUCATION

1947-1952 - University of Rochester   --  Rochester , New York :  Bachelor of Science - Mechanical Engineering Minor Studies:  Metallurgy, Physics, and Electrical Engineering.
April 1976 - University of Southern California -- 80-Hour course - Motor Vehicle Accident Investigation, classroom and skid pad; performed handling, skid, and braking tests for evaluation of vehicle dynamics. Included barrier crash test evaluations; witnessed and studied crash test of a motorcycle vs. automobile.
1976-1982 - University of Southern California -- Institute of Safety & Systems Management -- Advanced Degree program - Master of Science in SAFETY. Completed six of ten required courses: Dynamics of Safety in the Modern Society; Investigation of Accidents; Human Factors in Accident Causation; Technical Aspects of Motor Vehicle Safety; Structural Safety and Failure Analysis; and System Safety Engineering.

1990 - BMW Skip Barber Racing School -- Advanced Driving School - High Performance Vehicles - Two-day course at Willow Springs Raceway.
March, 1991 - Southwestern Association of Technical Accident Investigators -- Two-day Conference - San Diego, Human Factors - Perception-Reaction Experiments.
March, 1992 - Southwestern Association of Technical Accident Investigators -- Two-day Conference - San Diego, Collision-Related Injuries - Low-Speed Crash-Test Results - Insurance Fraud, particularly `Staged' Accidents.
June, 1993 - Independent Crash Tests -- Low-Speed, Rear-End, and Broadside Automobile Collisions. Participated as driver of struck vehicles. Vehicle accelerations recorded - Occupants' movements videotaped.
